Brief summary:

- The volume of grain departed from Azov-Black Sea ports has grown from 1.5 to almost 1.9 million tons thanks to an increase in exports from Ukraine, Russia and Romania;

- Ukraine remains the largest exporter among all Black Sea countries, with wheat staying the most popular type of grain in the area;

- The volume of grain enroute (at sea) has remained below 7 million tons for the 5th consecutive week;

- Egypt has shown the most significant upturn in volumes of grain enroute, exceeding 1 million tons;

- Grain volumes enroute towards Turkiye, Morocco, Italy and Bangladesh have increased, while those towards Algeria, Spain, China, Kenya have inched down;

- The volume of discharged grain has declined from 1.83 to 1.41 million tons;

- However, the number of discharged vessels has risen from 81 to 86 since the main upturn has fallen on coasters/minublukers and Handy carriers, while the large-tonnage vessel count has dropped significantly;

- Tunisian, Algerian and Greek importers have seen a 2-3-fold increase in discharged volumes, while major Asian importers have witnessed quite a considerable decline.
