The ECSA Panamax/Kamsarmax market activity has increased and majority of deals are discussed for early July laycans. Charterers prefer to negotiate APS deals or take vessels from the Continent:
TCT rates bss ECSA RV are hovering at $25-26k daily for spot laycans;
A Kamsarmax ship has been chartered at $26k daily bss dely Singapore via ECSA redel Spore-Japan;
An 82k dwt vessel has been fixed at $32k daily bss dely Gibraltar via ECSA redel SE Asia;
The deal for a Panamax carrier bss dely Continent via ECSA redel Spore-Japan has been concluded at $31k daily;
The contract for an 84k dwt ship bss dely ECSA redel Spore-Japan has been signed at $25k daily +$1.5k bb;
The deal for a Kamsarmax vessel bss dely ECSA redel Spore-Japan has been concluded at $26k daily + $1.6k bb;
Voyage-basis rates for shipment of 66,000 t of grain from Santos to Qingdao with spot laycans are voiced by brokers at $68-69/t, which gives the TCE of $24-25k daily;
Transportation of 66,000 t of grains from Brazil to China with late July laycans is negotiated at $70-72/t.

The transatlantiс segment shows limited activity due to still large bid/offer gap:
Owners insist on high $40s k daily bss dely ECSA redel Skaw-Passero, while charterers are voicing levels of high $30s k daily;
A 77k dwt vessel has been chartered at $40k daily bss dely ECSA redel Skaw-Passero;
The deal for a Kamsarmax carrier bss dely Med via WAfr redel Skaw-Passero has been signed at $20k daily;
Shipment of 60,000 t of grains from Argentina to Egypt with spot laycans is negotiated at $51/t vs. $54/t, which gives the TCE at $37k daily vs. $41k daily bss APS ECSA.
