The Far Eastern Supramax/Ultramax market picture has got positive again, with increased steels/general cargo traffic from CJK countries. Corresponding TCT rates are as follows:

Last week, Supramax vessels were fixed at low $20s k daily bss DOP CJK redel SE Asia, while corresponding TCT rates are already voiced by brokers at $24-25k daily;

As for back-haul traffic, a 60k dwt carrier was fixed and failed subs at $34.5k daily bss dely N.China redel WCCA;

Another Ultramax ship has been chartered at $35k daily for steel transportation bss DOP S.Korea redel WCMex;

A 64k dwt vessel was fixed and failed subs at $33k daily bss dely Shanghai redel USG;

Reportedly, owners of another 64k dwt carrier with good specs have managed to get a strong $42k daily bss DOP CJK redel Continent;

On the voyage basis, transportation of 55,000 t of coal from Vanino to Shanghai is quoted by ISM at $22/t with 12,000c/12,000c l/d rates;

Reportedly, owners of an OHBS Handymax ship have managed to get a strong $42.5k daily for steel transportation bss dely mid China redel Med;

On the voyage basis, shipment of 30,000 t of bulk DAP from Zhenjiang to Karachi with 10,000c/4,500x l/d rates is quoted by ISM at $59/t;

Transportation of 30,000 t of coal from Vanino to Shanghai with 10,000c/10,000c l/d rates is estimated by ISM at $30-31/t.
