Panamax/Kamsarmax segment affected by holiday slumber in Asia-Pacific region

Although exports of NOPAC grain remain relatively stable, trade is looking slower in the Panamax/Kamsarmax sector of the Asia-Pacific region due to May holidays in China, as well as amid the Golden Week in Japan. Thus, the market picture has got more unexciting:
Panamax owners have managed to get $17k daily bss DOP dely Fuzhou via Indo redel China;
The deal for transportation of 75,000 t of coal from Samarinda to Hosan with May 14-23 laycans and 12,000satpmshex uu/17,000shinc l/d rates is negotiated at $13.75/t (equivalent to $14-14.5k daily bss DOP dely Guangzhou via Samarinda redel Hosan);
Shipment of a Panamax lot of coal from E.Kali to S.Korea with 2H May laycans is negotiated slightly below $12.5/t (equivalent to $14k daily bss DOP dely Guangzhou via E.Kali redel S.Korea).

In Australia:
A Kamsarmax vessel has been chartered at $25.5k daily bss DOP dely S.China via E.Aus redel India;
A similar carrier has been fixed at $24.5-25k daily bss DOP dely CJK via E.Aus redel Vietnam;
The contract for transportation of 70,000 t of coal from Gladstone to Yeongheung with May 16-25 laycans and 30,000satpmshex uu/21,500lt shinc l/d rates is discussed at $20.9/t.

As for NOPAC grain exports;
A Panamax ship has been fixed at $19k daily bss DOP dely Tianjin via NOPAC redel Spore-Japan;
A Kamsarmax vessel has been chartered at $23.5k daily bss DOP dely N.China via NOPAC redel Spore-Japan.
