Congestion time for vessels calling Chinese ports has started to decline

Following some easing of COVID-related restrictions in Shanghai last week and resumption of operations at the Zhangjiagang port, the average waiting time on the CJK anchorage for vessels calling Yangtze River Ports has finally started to decline. Thus, according to agents, the current waiting time for a Handysize vessel calling Luojing terminal in Shanghai for steel discharge is around 7 to 10 days (vs more than 10 days reported last week). With regard to current congestions for dry bulk vessels calling Tianjin port in the Bohai Bay, current waiting time for berthing at Huisheng terminal is around 6-8 days; estimated waiting time for end Apr-early May is 10 days bss AGW/WP.
