Slowdown resumes on Capesize market of Eastern Hemi

The Capesize sector has weakened again in the Eastern Hemi due to slower ore traffic ex Australia:
Transportation of 170,000 t of ore from W.Aus to Qingdao is estimated by ISM at $8.5-9/t;
The deal for shipment of 160,000 t of ore from Port Hedland to Qingdao with early May laycans has been signed at $8.75/t;
Owners have managed to sign the contract for shipment of 170,000 t of ore from Dampier to Qingdao with early May laycans at $9.1/t.

As for coal traffic from Aus, carrying a Capesize lot of coal from Newcastle to CJK is estimated by ISM at $15/t.

As for ore exports from S.Afr, transportation of a Capesize-lot of coal from Saldanha Bay to Qingdao is estimated by ISM at $18/t.
